This session will provide an opportunity to learn and ask questions Cisco Expressway and features such as Mobile Remote Access (MRA), DVO-R, Cisco Jabber Guest and B2B.
Ask questions from Monday, April 4 to April 15, 2016

Dear Team
This is what we found in expressway 8.6.1 release. Can you make us understand more on this by giving practical scenario. We are currently dialling cmr by URI such as 12345@cmr-em.webex.com
"License Bypass for Calls to Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMRs)
The Expressway no longer requires
rich media session
licenses for calls to and from cloud-based CMRs. This includes SIP calls between Collaboration Cloud and the CMR Hybrid solution.
Note:
This only applies when the dialed string does not need transformation on the Expressway (for example, user@sitename.webex.com)."

Hi
By definition Rich Media Session License are :
Required for concurrent calls to/from any endpoint or application not registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager. For example, business-to-business calls, Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms, Cisco Jabber Guest, and interworked calls, for example, H.323 to SIP, H.264 AVC to H.264 SVC
This would include calls to CMR, pre expressway 8.6 release.
But from x8.6 onwards , calls to/from cloud based CMR would no longer consume any RMS licenses.
Thanks
Aditya Gupta

Hello Aditya/Aashish,
Hope you guys doing great.
I would like to know about the Expressway deployed with SME cluster.
As what i understand that sip line registration will go to the leaf cluster for MRA functionality.
It will use the home cluster option for identifying the user along with ILS ?
OR
We will be using the partition UC services with multiple deployment on expressway.
What if two cluster have same domain, how this will work.
Also please let me know the internal SRV records in SME environment.
____________________________________________
Coming to B2B setup on expressway with SME.
Is the best design to have the ad hoc Trunk direct to conductor from leaf cluster and for rendezvous leaf cluster should point to SME cluster and SME will then send to conductor.
Could you please the call flow and will this be good solution considering my bandwidth requirement would be high if the vTS and Conductor are placed in Data center.
Regards,
Raaj.

Hello Raaj,
Apologies for delay in responding.
For the first question, it will be UDS service that will locate the home cluster.
the B2B can be achieved via different design depending on the existing infrastructure and design in place, the CVD document presents the scenario in detail, below is the document,
Please refer to the exclusive section for business to business communication, it talks about various call flows and scenarios with different border elements as well.
hope it helps.
please do reach out if you have any specific question.
Thanks,
Aashish

Hi Aashish,
Thank you for the reply.
One precise query, assume i have 2 CUCM cluster and 1 SME cluster.
In this scenario the domain is same all around then the internal SRV record should point to SME or CUCM ? how about cup login records. ( only internal here)
_______________________________________________________
How the "Multiple deployments to partition Unified Communications services" will work if the domain is same for all cluster ?
Will the EXP-C will check all cluster one by one ? ( external request here)

Hi Rajkumar
The response to your query highly depends on how you want to design your environment.
In case you are looking at your SME as entry and exit points to your Expressway solution, then yes you can point your SRV records to your SME only and then have ILS connections between SME and Leaf clusters. You can also deploy internal jabber login in similar way.
You can find more details here :

HI Aditya,
Thank you for the reply and link.
So in this scenario i have to put the user in SME cluster too without checking the home cluster.
How CUP login will work i think this cannot be centralized as voicemail and this need to be per cluster as it tracks the user state.
We do require to create the cup login record for expressway solution.
Please refer the Fig 6-24 and related theory.

Raaj

Hello Team,
I would like to know if I need to deploy two separate clusters of expressways to use both MRA and Jabber Guest feature.
Thanks,
Tola

Hi Tola
Yes, you need separate clusters to use both MRA and Jabber Guest.
Unsupported Expressway Features and Limitations When Using Mobile and Remote Access
■ The Expressway cannot be used for Jabber Guest when it is used for MRA

We have CMR in cloud and have Cisco Expressway MRA as well.
We are planning to integrate CMR Cloud with our CUCM & Expressway MRA.
We have configured SIP trunk for CMR cloud and sip route pattern for the same. When we dialing video conferencing number like (userid@xxx.webex.com) we are getting ringback tone but it is not connecting to the video.
Do we have to do any configuration with Cisco Expressway ?? Do we have any document to integrate CMR Cloud ??

Hello Naveen,
below document talks about the integration,

hope this helps.

Hi Gents,
First of all, thank you for answering my request here...
I have deployed RMA and it works fine... However, now i want to take things one step further. I have ordered some Rich media license which i have installed. But i still can't make B2B calls. I have tested with these Cisco tests: loopback@cisco.com, loopback@rtp.ciscotac.net and 64.102.241.236. One thing, i need to add the SX10 that i test with is registered in CUCM and was deployed recently in standalone.
In any of these tests, the calls did not connect. And of course, i do have a SIP-TRUNK from CUCM to Expressway-e, and do have a route pattern which uses that SIP-TRUNK.
Do you guys have any recommendations or troubleshooting tips?
Thanks,

Hello Jean, Thanks for reaching out, i can suggest below pointers for troubleshooting,
hope above pointers will help you but please do share some specifics from log if you find any anomaly.
look forward to hear from you.
Thanks,
Aashish

Hi Aditya, Aashish
I have TP endpoints registered with VCS-C.
Can I create Traversal trunk between VCS-C and Expressway-Edge and allow
