Hi,
We have 55s white board but the software was last updated in 2019. unfortunately we no longer have a business acount with cisco, and if we did it was set up by someone who left the company many moons ago. I was just wondering if there was a way to get an up to date firmware version for the board, as I cant download it from software.cisco because i dont have a valid service contract.
Appreciate any advice
Thanks

You generally need to have an active service contract on your device, or have it registered to the Webex Cloud to receive software updates.
However, there is a process by which you can get an update without a service contract by referencing a CVE that you are affected by where there is a fix available:
Customers Without Service Contracts
Customers who purchase directly from Cisco but do not hold a Cisco service contract and customers who make purchases through third-party vendors but are unsuccessful in obtaining fixed software through their point of sale should obtain upgrades by contacting the Cisco TAC: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/web/tsd-cisco-worldwide-contacts.html
Customers should have the product serial number available and be prepared to provide the URL of this advisory as evidence of entitlement to a free upgrade. One such CVE you could reference is CVE-2020-3143 which would affect your device if it hasn't been updated since 2019 (there would be newer ones too - but that should give you a starting point).

Thank you for the advice, just a shame for it to sit in the corner unused because of old software
