Cisco Finesse - UCCX 10.6 - Customize/Brand Logo?

Hello,

We recently upgraded a customer to Cisco UCCX 10.6 ( HA over WAN ).  The customer loves Finesse and we have converted all agents over to Finesse.  The CIO wants to know if the main splash screen ( https:// ip of uccx:8445/desktop/container ) can be BRANDED with the customers logo NOT the Cisco Logo?  I have looked at all the XML in the desktop layout but I do not see any options for changing the Cisco Logo to a customer logo?  Ideally they would also like the ability to change the Cisco Logo in the header on all Finesse web pages....

Can this be changed?  Do you have instructions on implementing the change?  I am attaching a screenshot of the logo's in question.

Thanks!

Alex

Hi Alex,

I am pretty sure that this comes in from the root of the box. If you do a Right Click on the Finesse page and do view Page Source

                <div id="app-info">
                    <div id="app-logo" class="app-logo">
                        <a href="http://www.cisco.com"> <img border="0"
                            align="absmiddle"
                            src="/desktop/theme/finesse/images/cisco_logo.png"

                            alt="Company logo" />
                        </a>
                    </div>
                    <div id="app-text" class="app-text">
                        <h2 id="app-name" class="app-name">
                            Cisco Finesse
                        </h2>
                    </div>
                </div>

That comes in from the code of the box. Unfortunately we do not have the option of changing it as it is the product logo and branding the product.

Arundeep

Arundeep,

Can you take this back to the BU and ask them to include this on the roadmap for future releases?  It's a commonly asked for feature.  Call center agents have no clue "who cisco is"... that was a direct comment I receive in almost all end user training sessions.

Thanks!

Alex

Hi Alex,

I had a word with the BU with this. I was told that it is included in the Roadmap. Definitely not in 11.0 but in later releases.

I am currently following up with an enhancement defect for tracking purpose in order to provide it to customers.

I will keep this thread posted with an update on that by end of the week.

Regards,

Arundeep

Hi Alex,

I have raised an enhancement defect for the same. Since the defect is internal, the defect Id would not be of much help. This is on the roadmap for the 11.x release. I would not say 11.0, but 11.next release.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Arundeep

Hi Arundeep,

We are now starting to see migration projects (to Finesse) and I also now have a customer asking to use their own company branding. Now that 11.0 is out, any update on if/when this will be available/supported (11.x)..?

My customer is going to 10.6 this month, but I'd like to give them some feedback.

Also, the customer does have their own development resource, but I presume they (or anyone) would be advised against 'trying' to put their log into the SRC (per you original post) until such customisation is officially supported...?

BR,

Martin

We're able to rebrand once you login, but not the login screen. Looking forward to being able to customize the whole experience!

Hi David,

Is that possible in Finesse in 10.6...?! If so, how easy is it to do and is it documented? (or 'undocumented'..!!)

BR,

ms.

I can't confirm 10.6, but I can confirm 10.5 and I don't believe it's documented.

david

Hi David

Any chance of you sharing details of how you customised the Logo?

Regards

Please refer to the List Chat Web Forms section of below document and focus on Step 3 "Field - Logo URL" which comes while creating a Chat Widget List. By default it is a Cisco logo but you can put in a custom location in that particular field "Logo URL" one from your corporate web site or internal web server that contains the image of your Company Logo. This way the HTML form will generate with the location of your company logo itself that you can then host on your web server.

In case, you want to insert the company logo for one of your existing HTML forms, then do like below.

Insert the exact location where you are saving the image of your Company Logo in the HTML form between the double quotes after the value=, such as I put https://FakelocationPIC.jpg

<input type="hidden" name="extensionField_chatLogo" value="https://FakelocationPIC.jpg"><br/>

If you are using your own web server and using your own custom field, the HTML would be modified the same way. Also, please ensure that the image does not exceed 100 x 100 pixels as per the below defect:

https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuw17701/?reffering_site=dumpcr

Just noticed that we are talking about changing the Cisco logo on Finesse login page and not for Social Miner chat page. The above mentioned workaround does not apply for changing Finesse logo to something other than Cisco, it is only for changing default Cisco logo to somethnig custom for the Social Miner chat page.

Not removing the post as it may help someone who wants to do it for changing the default Cisco logo to Custom for SM chat

Sorry all for the confusion

Regards

Deepak

Hi Arundeep,

It's been a while since I've seen any more information on the log requirement to change the Finesse login screen logo.  Can you update us please?

Also, you mention it can be changed on the desktop once the agent is logged on. Can you provide a link to instruction on how to do this please?

Regards,

Mark

Hi, I am able to change logo once the agent sign-in with 3rdpartygadget by changing src of cisco logo.
