flex subscription for 8800

Hello everyone,

We are using 8841 and 8841. I know that in cucm 12.5 you will need enhanced licenses. But what about new flex subscription type ? which subscription license we need for these models ?

CUCM licensing model was never perfectly aligned to Flex annuity. Humans (Knowledge Workers or Named Users) will generate UWL Standard licenses. Workspaces / Common Area Phones will generate UCL Enhanced. CUCM will still “borrow” from higher tiered licenses to lower as-needed despite Flex not actually having a contractual mechanism to allow this. In other words, humans (End Users) configured with a single endpoint will be counted as UCL Enhanced despite that not being the licensing bucket humans count against. If it’s easier for you to track license consumption you can always configure softphone device types for users so CUCM always counts them as UWL Standard.

If those phone are now consuming  CUWL you need Knowledge Workers or Named Users as@Jonathan Schulenberg  mentioned.
