Hi folks--a project was started with our WAN provider to basically setup a P2P circuit between our primary and failover DCs. They decided the best way to do this was to do a VPLS layer-2 link between the sites through their cloud. The engineer that started this has since left, and i'm stuck dealing with it now. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get traffic to go between sites, but I'm weak at layer-2 WANs. I've got a 3750X at each location to terminate the link from the WAN provider. The WAN handoff in these cases is a 802.1q trunk on each end with an unused native VLAN to the SP metro-E switches. From there, though, I'm not sure how to get traffic flowing between the sites across this link...
I've got Nexus 7ks in the primary DC and Catalyst 6500 in the failover DC. Any ideas on how to get everything talking and not put a nice big loop in the network is greatly appreciated.
