Thanks for the quick reply! I checked and there was only 1 available CTI Port in the group I was using. I was able to get the out bound call, but I can't play the prompt to the called user.

I'm trying to build a simple script to call a number and play a prompt. The outbound call keeps getting the "no resource" output branch. I am using the same call control group for both the inbound trigger and the outbound. If I use any other cal control group, the call fails immediately. Can anyone post a simple script or help me with this?

We tested on CUCM 10.5.2 using FW SIP894x.9-4-2-8 and the voicemail button immediately dialled into voicemail. This FW version is compatible with CUCM 7.1.5 and above, so you could try that. FW 9.4.2(SR1) is available now for the 8945 as well. Hope this helps

Good morning, After upgrading our 894x FW to 9.3.4 we noticed the behavior of our voicemail buttons has changed. Previously pressing the button dialed into Unity Connections immediately. Now, after the upgrade, pressing the button brings us to a screen where users press h softkey "open" to dial unity. Has anyone else noticed this? any workarounds to change the behavior back to default? Thanks

Thanks for the very fast replies. Once the DRS backup is taken, a freeze on administrative changes is implemented. What happens to messages received during the downtime? will the DB sync from the Sub to the pub? Thanks

Good Morning, Just wondering if there is a document that outlines the steps for migrating a Unity Connection Bare Metal install (8.6) to UCS virtualized environment. Is the migration path as simple as deploying teh OVA template in the UCS environment, installing the smae version and then doing a DRS restore? Any best practice or lessons learned from users who ahve previously gone through this? We have a publisher and a Subscriber in seperate Data Centres, going to migrate the publisher first to our UCS deployment in Data centre A, then another night we will migrate the subscriber in DC B. I had this problem as well. I fixed my issue by deleting the certificates in preferences - Java - Security - Manage Certificates. Then Relaunch the application and select Always trust connections to websites identified by this certificate (see screen shot). Hope this helps.

iPhone with Cisco mobile 8 calls enterprise. Call Fails occasionnaly. Requires a reset of the TCT device in CM 7.13 to remedy the issue. Works fine for a period of time, then calls start failing again. TCT client has Mobility Identity configured for the iPhone. Has anyone experianced this before?

update: reformatting Windows 7 has fixed this on my PC, but everyone else here is still having the problem. It seems to be a Windows 7 issues, the install is not clean, registry keys are not being created among other things. TAC investigating.

We have upgraded to CUPC 8.02 and downloaded the CUPC 8 Client. The client is installed in Windows 7 but does not load, just sits at the loading screen then times out after a minute or so. I have follwed the install guide but cannot get this thing working. I have enabled all services as outlined in the install guide. Any Ideas??? Thanks

1. We cannot get a video call to start between 2 9971's. 2. Cannot change the softkey template, I have selected a different softkey in the device confuration template, no softkey template option on the 9971 device cong page. 3. iPhone support? OK, Call processing is done by the Communications Managers (CUCM) Typically you will have a publisher and a number of subscribers (each a seperate server). The pub contains your database and is the point of admin while the subs do all the call processing work. each sub can handle up to 7500 phones. You can have 4 active subs for 30000 phones, and 4 standby subs. You can also have seperate servers for TFTP and other servies. Endpoints can be Cisco phones, Analog phones attached to voice Gateways (VG224), SIP end points etc. or "soft phones" that run on laptops or even iPhones. Connection to the pstn can be by SIP Trunk, T1/E1, or simple FXO. interfacing to the pstn is done through a switch or router with interface cards. you can have a 2811 router with T1 interfaces or FXO interfaces or a 6500 series Catalyst switch with 6 T1 ports per module.
