i tried to restore MSE backup (8.0.149) from production on a new VM in my lab, but it didn’t work. So I read documentation and I’m curious, whenever I understood it right - please advice me, if I’m wrong.
MSE backup is just about historical data, so it’s not possible to run restore on a different VM in lab (there is just 1 WLC and 3 maps in my lab). Furthermore it doesn’t make sense to restore historical data from another MSE, because the MSE in lab doesn’t know anything about maps or WLCs from production. That’s why restore fails, isn’t it?
But in that case, will restore work on production MSE, because there are about thousand maps, not all of them are synchronized, so I have to synchronize exact the same maps to run restore?
Or may be it’s about the Prime Infrastructure Version? I have in lab another PI version, then in production
