good or bad idea?why or why not?

I am looking for a tool that can map out what areas are being covered by my wireless network. Is there anything out there that is not too expensive and not going to involve hours of figuring out how to use?

Does anyone know why the AP 1100 and 1200 models do not display the client type or Name when examining the associations? Is there a way to enable this feature?
