Are these two comparable?If one switch uses GBIC and the new switch uses mini-GBIC, then can they communicate with no problem?

Hi,In OSPF, if the DR goes down, the BDR is then promoted to DR.Once then, whether any backup router is elected? If not, then on DR crash , it will take some time to elect new DR and to become synchronized.Corrrect me if I am wrong .Thanks,Vijay
