I have a Cat 3750 that would no connect to a PC with a gig NIC. I could get a connection when I inserted a 10/100 switch between the PC and 3750. Checking the cable, I found pin 8 to be open. Is pin 8 part of the autonegotiation process?
get this message from my 6509 connects to 3550. but no trunking is set between them. my other ports also have the same settings, with no err msg but have a native vlan unknown status... why???this 6509 is not set by me.. :(
