Why does the Cisco AP always send out an RTS before deauthenticating a client? Seems to be unique to Cisco APs. I tried fixing the rate to 1Mbps (lowest data rate) and still saw the same behavior.

I need to setup 2 different SSID's on my 1231 AP one using our internal RADIUS Server. The other using the Local RADIUS Server on the AP if possible. Has anyone done this? If not my only option is WPA-PSK for the Guest SSID I think.

It is my understanding that the Cisco WLC manages WAPs in LWAPP mode. If the WLC happens to "die", what happens to the APs? Are the APs no longer useful to new connections?
