Are there any redundancy options available for extension mobility? Can the service be hosted on more than 1 server?

Is there anyway to force the Extension Mobility Service to authenticate users via Password as opposed to User Pin. We are intergrated into AD and a single login using the users AD passowrd would be preferred.
